Divine Savior Academy is excited to announce that its new high school and athletic facilities expansion is complete. The community is invited to attend the Ribbon Cutting and Grand Opening event on August 11th from 7:00pm-9:00pm at its new high school building located at NW 58th Street and NW 104th Avenue in Doral.
The new high school building and expanded athletic facilities will not just serve the needs of DSA’s high school students. The expanded playground, tennis courts, and soccer fields will meet the needs of the entire PreK3-12th grade program. The dance studio, gymnasium, and chess room will also be shared spaces. Other areas of the high school like the STEM labs, video production lab, and media center will be exclusive to 9th to 12th grade students.
Pastor Carlos Leyrer, Superintendent of Divine Savior, comments, “When designing the building, we were careful to meet two needs: the need of more space for the entire school and the need for our high school students to have a space of their own.”
Although the building and athletic facilities are new, Divine Savior Academy’s high school is not. The Academy graduated its most recent class in May, and the Class of 2015 included a National Merit Scholar and a Gates Millennium Scholar. This fall, DSA alumni are headed to many prestigious universities like MIT, the University of Miami, Vanderbilt, the University of Michigan, and Cornell University, an Ivy League school. The class received $1.4 million in scholarships and financial awards.
Success like this speaks not only to the incredible talent of these students, but also to Divine Savior Academy’s rigorous curriculum. Accredited by five institutions, the Academy provides collegeprep academics, a supportive college guidance program, and a small teacher-to-student ratio to help its students achieve their college goals.
“At DSA, we are focused on two goals. The first is to provide our students with an excellent education. The second is to foster a caring, supportive, Christian community so that families have the resources they need to be happy and healthy. These new facilities will help us achieve both goals,” comments DSA Head of Schools Ben Troge.
Divine Savior Academy is now enrolling PreK3-12th grade students for its early childhood, elementary, middle, and high school programs. For more information, please visit DivineSaviorAcademy.com or call 305-597-4545 to schedule a tour.
