Hialeah Hospital Welcomes New Chief Nursing Officer


Maribel A. Torres, MSM, BS, RN, BC joins the staff of Hialeah Hospital as the hospital’s new chief nursing officer. Torres has more than 20 years of clinical and administrative experience in nursing. In her new role at Hialeah Hospital, Torres is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the hospital’s nursing units and their daily operations.
“I would like to welcome Maribel to the Hialeah Hospital family,” said Ben A. Rodriguez, chief executive officer of Hialeah Hospital. “I am very excited about her vision for the nursing department, and I am confident that she will lead the team to long-term success.”

Torres’s experience includes Project Champion, a ten million dollar NICU renovation at Rush University Copley Medical Center in Aurora, Illinois. She also established an outpatient Women’s Comprehensive Incontinence Center there as well. Additionally, she was part of the leadership team that worked on center of excellence business and renovation plans. Torres was key in promoting physician and nursing relationships as well as mentoring various members of the nursing leadership team. She has a BS in Healthcare Leadership and a BS in Nursing. She also has a Master of Science in Management.
