Integrated Health Center of Miami, in collaboration with the City of Doral, will host World Diabetes Day in Doral on Monday, November 14th at Downtown Doral Park. The event, designed to create awareness of this devastating disease and part of Diabetes Awareness Month, will kick off with a proclamation presented by Mayor Luigi Boria at 4:00pm, followed by distribution of vouchers for free eye screenings and complimentary A1C lab tests to attendees. World Diabetes Day in Doral will culminate in the formation of a human blue circle (the global symbol for diabetes awareness) to show unity with the cause, the community, and the International Diabetes Federation in response to the growing pandemic.
ONE IN TWO people with Diabetes remain UNDIAGNOSED and more than 640 MILLION of us may be living with diabetes by 2040.* Faced with these statistics, Dr. Ruben Valdes, D.C., director of Integrated Health Center of Miami, felt compelled to offer free AIC lab tests to the community during World Diabetes Day in Doral to help individuals determine if they are living with Diabetes or are at risk of developing the disease. For those not able to attend the event, they can visit www.reversediabetestype2.com, complete the form online, and receive their free lab test order anytime during the month of November.
Led by Dr. Ruben Valdes, Integrated Health Center of Miami focuses on reversing Diabetes Type 2 based on the Functional Medicine Model. For more information on Integrated Health Center of Miami and World Diabetes Day in Doral please visit www.ihcmiami.com or call 786.801.3977.
