Our Lady of Guadalupe Groundbreaking Ceremony

[dropcap]I[/dropcap]n early January, the groundbreaking of the Our Lady of Guadalupe project was celebrated in a very intimate ceremony with only 20 attendees. The event was hosted by Father Israel Mago from Our Lady of Guadalupe with special speakers Bishop Peter Baldacchino who blessed the site, City of Doral Mayor Luigi Boria, Zyscovich architect Jose Murguido and MCM’s Vice President Juan Munilla.  Director of Facilities from the Archdiocese of Miami, David Prada was also present at the ceremony. They all expressed their happiness to be participating in such an amazing project and are confident this endeavor will be an extraordinary representation of the catholic faith for the community.

 

The project consists of the construction of a 17,400 sf Catholic Church, 2 Chapels (3,500 sf) and a Parish Center (10,000 sf) including parking area (289 spaces) and improvements to the site located at the intersection of NW 117th Ave and NW 25^th Street, in Doral.
