Lyft has announced its fifth annual Lyftie Awards, a program that recognizes the most popular destinations in cities across the country. This year, the Lyfties expanded to celebrate more than 50 markets, including Miami, and refreshed its categories to celebrate multimodal transportation and its driver communities.
The winners for the 2019 Lyftie Awards in South Florida are:
• Most Celebrated Local Venue: Hard Rock Stadium
• Top Transit Stop: Miami International Airport Station
• Late Night Neighborhood: Miami Beach
• Late Night Hero Driver: Jose Perrosa
• Most Celebrated Restaurant: Fontainebleau
• Top Scooter Destination: Bayside Marketplace
South Florida also placed in the Lyftie Awards’ national category “Most Shared Rides.”
“Lyft believes in improving the lives of our communities and this year, we’re proud to celebrate the businesses, drivers and different modes of transportation that makes each of our cities special,” said Ariel Meyer, regional director of Lyft South Florida.
“We know that the backbone of our communities rely on people and ways they’re connected to thrive. We look forward to championing South Florida’s winners for the fifth year in a row and providing reliable, affordable transportation.”
Drivers listed above were honored as a Lyft Driver of the Year in South Florida. These outstanding drivers were recognized for having a significant impact on their communities and their riders’ lives everyday.
