The Doral Chamber of Commerce’s focus since its founding has always been to educate its members with seminars, workshops, networking and other business-focused educational events. The results have been amazing!
The 2020 pandemic has forced businesses to shift their focus and business models. We had to do the same. So we pivoted the chamber to provide even greater support utilizing virtual tools and highly personalized service to our members and the local communities.
The Doral Chamber has built a database of opt-in emails and social media channels and uses it to market our chamber members and local community news and events. We focus on our members – “It’s not about the Chamber, it’s about our members and our community” – Manny Sarmiento – CEO
The chamber was founded in 2008 for the purpose of helping businesses that need help in the new age of Digital Marketing. We became very successful, very quickly, because of our philosophy of providing real quality in service and business education. My motto is “how can I help?”. The chamber’s model was “We Market Doral! We Market You!” But that motto has evolved to “We Market South Florida, We Market You!”, as we’ve expanded beyond the boundaries of the city of Doral to become an important economic engine for all of South Florida.
The Doral Chamber of Commerce is managed by it’s original founders and current CEO/President and Vice President, Manny Sarmiento and Carmen Lopez. We have a professional board that has been hand-selected to include professionals who care about the community and have demonstrated the same kindness and willingness to go all out to help local businesses and residents.
During the pandemic we focused on procuring and quickly disseminating useful information on grants, PPP and SBA loans, mom and pop grants, food distribution and other helpful tools to help our local business and residential communities. We are proud to say that with the collaboration of local member banks and community service institutions, we have been able to assist many business during these trying times – we have seen many of those same businesses survive and thrive post-pandemic!
The future is bright for the Doral Chamber of Commerce and for South Florida. In 2021 and beyond we will focus on the following:
- Continued focus on superior customer service and close attention to our members and the community’s needs.
- More digital programs focused on business education, networking, community activism and enhanced outreach.
- Continued expansion of outreach beyond the City of Doral to bring our programs to even more South Florida businesses and residents.
- Major support for local restaurants and other businesses with programs like Taste of Doral™, Doral Restaurant Week™, Taste of Wynwood™, The Coffee Network Club™ and the Attorney Marketing Annex™.
We are excited to welcome new members onboard from all over South Florida. Our memberships are inexpensive and provide practical marketing and digital marketing opportunities for as little as $99 for our Platinum membership or, for even greater Sponsorship opportunities you may consider enrolling as a Trustee for our amazing organization, The Doral Chamber of Commerce.
