Mayor Juan Carlos Bermudez has been appointed to the Florida League of Mayors’ Board of Directors. Comprised of 21 mayors from across the state of Florida, the board provides mayors a forum to jointly discuss issues faced by their municipalities and share ideas to achieve solutions and best practices for their respective cities.
The appointment was made during the Florida League of Cities annual conference in Orlando Aug. 17 to 19.
“I’ve had the honor of serving on this board before and I look forward to continue working with my fellow mayors to provide the best in municipal service and quality of life to our residents,” said Mayor Bermudez.
The Florida League of Mayors serves as a compliment to the Florida League of Cities. It has been the official nonpartisan organization representing Florida mayors since 2005 and provides a platform for Florida mayors to advocate before Florida Legislature and speak on issues of prominence for their citizens.
