While academics are a priority at Miami Christian School (MCS), sports also play a big role in developing leaders and school spirit – and are a valued component as are the visual and performing arts, music and robotics.
In athletics, MCS stands out among all others in a recent study by The Miami Herald that ranked schools athletically based on the number of sports the school offers and the number of wins of all of the school’s teams. Of the top 13 schools in Miami-Dade County, 6A-1A both public and private, Miami Christian was ranked number 6. Of the 13 schools, MCS was the “winningest” school with a win record of 708 across all sports, and had more wins that Gulliver, Ransom Everglades, Westminster Christian, Miami Country Day, and Palmer Trinity. Kudos to the players and coaches whose hard work has paid off.
On the academic front, Miami Christian is proud of its 2017 Silver Knight nominees; Abel Victores – for the category of Digital Media; Xiangyu Mike Li – for the category of Speech and Debate; and Zhukun Wang, for the category of Mathematics. Abel will study architecture at the University of Miami in the fall while both Mike and Zhukun will head to study at Penn State in the fall. Mike will study Finance and Zhukun will study Mathematics.
Congratulations to the MCS Class of 2017 Valedictorian Justin Maroon and Salutatorian Abel Victores.
