Yesterday, Commissioner Jose “Pepe” Diaz reelection campaign turned in more than 1,500 signed petitions (more than the amount required) to the Miami-Dade Elections Department asking to place Commissioner Diaz on the ballot in the upcoming August 28, 2018 elections.
“I have been honored to serve as Miami-Dade County Commissioner and I am humbled by the outpour of support in the community. We have worked hard to make Miami-Dade County the community we residents deserve, but there is still much work to be done together. I will continue being your voice on public safety, quality of life, advocating for quality public transportation, protecting our children, taking care of our elderly and honoring our brave men and women in the military” said Commissioner Diaz. “I look forward to running a clean and positive campaign as I continue to serve the residents of District 12 of Miami-Dade County.”
