As part of Palmetto General Hospital’s commitment to quality patient care, the hospital has appointed Leisha Peters as its new hospital compliance officer. Peters has extensive experience in corporate compliance working in a similar role for the past four years at a Children’s Hospital in South Florida as an ethics and compliance specialist. Peters joins Palmetto General Hospital to continue to implement the systems, processes and policies of Tenet’s Ethics and Compliance Program.

Peters has a certification in Health Care Compliance and Health Care Privacy Compliance from the Health Care Compliance Association.
She received her BA in Chemistry and Masters of Health Services Administration from FIU.
