On the early morning of February 7, 2015, Interact officers and a few dedicated members of Interact Club and the Rotary Club of Doral ventured out to Doral’s Chik-fil-A, located on 107 th Avenue and 41 st Street, to kick off the first road cleanup of this year! After enjoying a complimentary breakfast replete with delicious little snacks,members were handed large garden gloves and trash bags just before the start of the event. Escorted by Doral’s very own police squad, these members had the opportunity to spend a few refreshing hours in tune with nature, all while assisting this city’s efforts to provide its citizens with safe, clean streets, and a larger effort to protect the Earth and keep its streets litter-free! Although the amount of students present was less than was previously expected, those that did commit to volunteering those few hours certainly accomplished the job just as well.As for 2015’s first road cleanup event, it was an excellent and pleasurable one at that!
