Veterans Day presents a significant opportunity for us to express our heartfelt appreciation and gratitude for the selfless service, sacrifice, and dedication of the individuals who have served in the United States Armed Forces. The Miami-Dade County Public Schools community honors and values the exceptional contributions of veterans who continue to serve our country by working with students in our schools, the third-largest school system in the United States.

The presence of veterans in our schools provides students with invaluable role models who exemplify admirable qualities such as upholding democracy, discipline, leadership, resilience, and a commitment to the greater good. By continuing to serve our country through public school education, these service members foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment, enriching our educational community.
