A sellout crowd attended the Latin Builders Association Awards Luncheon held Sept. 28, at the Hyatt Regency Miami, highlighting tremendous efforts of the LBA members and directors within the association and in their industry at large.
The LBA event showcased the best organizations representing a variety of industries that make up the organization membership, including contractors, engineers, financial institutions, and media representatives, to mention a few.
The LBA was honored to have Chief Financial Officer of the State of Florida Jeff Atwater address the audience of 500 and help make several awards presentations. Hundreds of firms and organizations were nominated for 40 categories including such notables as the LBA Director of the Year, awarded to Atty. Melissa Tapanes-Llahues of Bercow Radell & Fernandez; LBA Lifetime Achievement Award presented to Willy Bermello of Bermello Ajamil & Partners; and the LBA Member Organization of the Year award, presented to TD Bank.
“It gives me great pride to stand alongside these members within the association who can truly be considered industry leaders,” stated President Bernie Navarro. “I also look forward to being able to congratulate those who have done their part to make this association greater than it was before.”
