First Central America and Europe… and now it’s Asia as The InterContinental at Doral Miami looks to keep guests and South Floridians taste buds jumping with culinary creations from around the world.
At the same time, it’s latest gourmet spread benefitted the Casimiro Foundation that fosters education and social entrepreneurship for children and young adults globally.
In partnership with the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Miami (TECO) and the Doral Overseas Chinese Business Chamber, InterContinental gave local gourmets an insider’s look on preparation of Asian cuisine with author and award- winning Chef Chia-Mo Chen.
Direct from Taiwan for a two-day appearance, Chef Chen’s visit consisted of a cooking demonstration and a six-course gourmet tasting event. Guests (making a donation of $78 to benefit the charity) were introduced to authentic Far East dishes like the Taiwan styled Three-Cup Chicken and Buddha-Jumped-Over-the-Wall Soup, as well as steamed fresh fish with fermented cummingcordia and tofu.
Best of all, funds raised will support scholarships enabling more young people to participate in entrepreneur camps.
