Main Street Players is proud to present the second production of their 2023 season, Tribes by Nina Raine. Billy was born deaf into a hearing family. He was raised inside its fiercely idiosyncratic and politically incorrect cocoon. He has adapted brilliantly to his family’s unconventional ways, but they’ve never bothered to return the favor. It’s not until he meets Sylvia, a young woman on the brink of deafness, that he finally understands what it means to be understood. The show is directed by Lowell Williams and the cast is as follows:

Tribes runs February 3 –February 26. Shows are Fridays at 7 pm, Saturdays at 2 pm and 7 pm, and Sundays at 2 pm. Tickets are $30 for adults, $25 for students, seniors, (65+) and military personnel. Theatre League/Industry $20 with i.d. at the door only. Tickets may be purchased in advance at www.mainstreetplayers.com, or at the door one hour before showtime.
