Event featured an appearance by El Zol on-air personality, an interactive scavenger hunt and more.
The Westend of Miami Shopping Center, located at 2600 NW 87 Avenue, celebrated the grand opening of its new open-air 7,617 square feet courtyard space on April 17th with a ribbon cutting ceremony, featuring Doral Mayor Juan Carlos Bermudez, Doral Council members Claudia Mariaca, Digna Cabral and Oscar Puig and Managing Director and owner of Westend Shopping Center Mall Silvia J Fernandez.
Several people turned out for the socially distanced event, which featured a day of fun that included free food samples and giveaways from the center’s well-known tenants; an appearance by an on-air personality from El Zol and an interactive Instagram scavenger hunt.
Westend’s new courtyard, designed by Arte Patio and constructed by Maptrades LLC, was the vision of Managing Director and owner of Westend Shopping Center Mall Silvia J Fernandez, who developed the multifunctional space to make it more appealing to families and allow for additional open-air public spaces. The new courtyard features outdoor seating and a beautiful weeping cherry tree that serves as a centerpiece for the center. Founded in 2000 by architect Fernan Jaramillo, Westend Shopping Center, features a unique mix of tenants that includes Born Barbers Doral, Eparepa, Golf Pro Shop, K & K Dental, Sabor Havana Cigars, Sushi Sake and more.
