The City of Doral proudly announces the selection of Zeida C. Sardinas as its new City Manager. Bringing a wealth of experience and a deep connection to the community, Sardinas is set to begin her new role on January 13th.
In a unanimous vote of 5-0 held today, December 26th, the Doral Mayor and City Council solidified their confidence in Sardinas’ ability to lead the city into a prosperous future. The decision reflects a shared vision for continued growth and innovation under her leadership.
Zeida C. Sardinas is no stranger to the City of Doral, having served as a Legislative Analyst from June 2014 to May 2019. During her tenure, she played a pivotal role in supporting the city’s legislative initiatives, policy development, and community engagement. Her dedication to public service and in-depth knowledge of Doral’s unique needs and opportunities make her an outstanding choice for this leadership position.
Sardinas’ educational foundation is equally impressive. She earned a Master’s degree in International and Interamerican Studies from the University of Miami, equipping her with a global perspective and a strong understanding of regional dynamics that have informed her approach to governance and asset management.
In her most recent role as Asset Manager for the City of Coral Gables, Sardinas was responsible for overseeing city-owned leased properties and managing public-private partnerships to maximize the value of municipal assets. Her expertise in lease compliance, property management, and business relationships underscores her capability to lead Doral with innovation and fiscal responsibility.
The Doral Chamber of Commerce, led by CEO Manny Sarmiento, along with VP Carmen Lopez and the Board of Directors, congratulates Zeida C. Sardinas on her new role. Her leadership promises to usher in a new chapter of growth and development for Doral.
“We are thrilled to welcome Zeida back to Doral as City Manager. Her deep roots in the community, paired with her vast experience, make her uniquely positioned to guide our city into a bright and prosperous future,” said Manny Sarmiento.
As Sardinas prepares to assume her duties in January, the community eagerly anticipates her leadership and vision for Doral’s continued success. The unanimous vote by the Mayor and City Council is a testament to the trust and support she has garnered, setting the stage for a bright future ahead.
