ADVENTURE-LEGGERS IS BACK FOR A 2nd YEAR

Bookleggers Library, the nonprofit mobile library that expands access to free books as a way of building community, is leveling up for its second year of ADVENTURE-LEGGERS, Miami’s only youth and comic book festival for kids.
The full day of multimedia programming celebrates literature, art and creativity for kids and teens. The festival will offer interactive experiences focused on comics, graphic novels, music, artist-led workshops, technology, storytime and more.
ADVENTURE-LEGGERS aims to promote a lifelong love of reading while also introducing kids to creative pursuits that might spark their curiosity. The event will also include an opportunity for kids to explore skills such as plant foraging and storytelling.
“Last year, we introduced ADVENTURE-LEGGERS to build upon Bookleggers Library’s mission of expanding access to books,” said Nathaniel Sandler, Founding Director, Bookleggers Library. “Now more than ever, a recurring festival to reinforce the value of books is critical to helping kids in Miami have a safe space in which to express themselves and discover their truth through reading, writing, art and creativity.”

Admission to ADVENTURE-LEGGERS is free with rsvp and is open to kids 18 and under who attend with a family member or chaperone.

No unaccompanied adults are allowed; this is a kids-only event with the exception of participating kids’ parents, guardians, or chaperones and those working the event in the employ of Bookleggers Library, Bakehouse Art Complex, or its vendors and subcontractors.
