Founded on a belief in the transformative power of queer storytelling to assert identities and foster empathy, we’re thrilled to share the Aesop Queer Library returns in 2025 for its fifth edition in partnership with the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and Penguin Random House. Created to celebrate the vibrant vocabularies crafted by LGBTQIA2S+ communities and showcase the power of language both as a shelter and a declaration of defiance, Aesop Queer Library affirms literature’s ability to broaden minds and embolden individuals and seeks to provide a platform for underrepresented voices.

For the first time in Miami from June 4th – 8th, Aesop Design District will feature an offering of books by queer authors alongside aromatic accompaniments to enhance reading moments in a bespoke Reading Room. To date, the Library has distributed over 100,000 books to readers around the world, honoring the liberating possibilities of LGBTQIA2S+ self-expression.
