American Cancer Society: Drive-Thru Car Parade
July 9, 2020 @ 6:30 pm - 7:45 pmFree
The American Cancer Society will celebrate its first annual Night of Hope Luminaria Drive Thru Parade, a feel-good event where the American Cancer Society will unite all its supporters in a drive-thru luminaria ceremony to pay tribute to cancer survivors and loved ones lost to cancer. The car parade will take place at Tropical Park (Miller Drive Entrance) on Thursday, July 9th from 6:30pm to 7:45pm. Night of Hope Luminaria Drive Thru is a car parade where participants will pay tribute, through luminaria bags, to all cancer survivors in their lives or remember those who are no longer with us. All while supporting the American Cancer Society’s lifesaving mission. Since there are many different cancers, and these cancers are represented generally by different colored ribbons, the organization decided to make this Luminaria and Tribute Ceremony a colorful one. The luminaria bags will be in many different colors, representing the many colors of the cancer ribbons. Cars will drive by a rainbow of luminarias which will represent the HOPE that we all have for our loved ones fighting, while remembering those who have left us too soon.
