The state of Florida requires that board members become certified by attending an approved course or submitting written certification information to the association secretary. One of the best and most convenient ways for board members to become certified is by participating in our complimentary board member certification seminars, which have been approved by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation to qualify for board member certification. This course details the basic concepts of community operations, including an overview of the budget and reserve process, membership and board meetings, election procedures, alternative dispute resolutions, vendor bids and contract negotiations, and it highlights some of the most recent changes in Florida laws. Attendees receive an official certificate of completion from our firm, and the seminar also qualifies for 2 hours of continuing education CAM credits (OPP) for property managers.
