Presented by film producer Juan Antonio Casado, the gathering will offer an intimate conversation about Kapelo’s literary universe and his acclaimed trilogy, Memorias de un Narco Español (Memories of a Spanish Drug Trafficker). The work, comprised of the titles Padre, del seminario al narcotráfico (Father, from the seminary to drug trafficking) (2021), Bossi, Jaque Mate (Bossi, Checkmate) (2023), and Pablo, el mercenario de Dios (Pablo, God’s mercenary) (2025), has been praised for its honest narrative and its ability to invite deep reflection on life decisions and family values.
“To read me is to know José Antonio Kapelo,” states the author. “In this trilogy, you will identify with one of the characters; I invite you to discover it.”

During the event, attendees can enjoy selected readings, a Q&A session, and book signings. To conclude the afternoon, coffee will be offered courtesy of the author to encourage dialogue between readers and stories.
A Future on the Big Screen The event will feature confirmed attendance from prominent film industry professionals, such as Juan Antonio Casado and Hollywood distributor Juan Antonio Fernández, who have recognized the potential of Kapelo’s work for film adaptation.
