Health in the Hood and Amazon Food Distribution

On Saturday, June 14, Health in the Hood and Amazon will join forces at a local women’s homeless shelter for a powerful day of community action in the heart of Overtown. Thanks to Amazon’s sponsorship, more than 200 women and children will receive free bundles of fresh, healthy groceries—including fruits, vegetables, pantry staples, and produce. This event reflects the ongoing impact of Amazon’s expanded support. The event, located at 1453 NW 2nd Ave, Miami, FL 33136, will begin at 11:30 AM and shine a spotlight on the urgent need for equitable food access, especially for families experiencing the harsh effects of food insecurity.
