About the Artist:
Rick Cohen, a talented Miami-based artist, specializes in Assemblage and Sculptural Collage. With a foundation in Metalsmithing and Jewelry Design from the University of South Florida and Pacific University, he has dedicated over 35 years to developing a unique artistic style. His work is characterized by circular forms and vibrant use of color, shape, and texture, created from recycled round objects that spark conversations about design and sustainability.
Through a meticulous creative process of sourcing “groovy round parts,” Rick transforms discarded materials into compelling art, with pieces featured in collections across several states. His commitment to pushing artistic boundaries and showcasing the potential in everyday waste has made a significant impact on the art community.
Noche de Arte is open to the public and free to attend. collaboARTive presents this program in partnership with the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau and InterContinental Miami Hotel, Miami Downtown Development Authority, and with support from the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs.
