FreeFrost Museum-FIU and Casa Cuba to host opening reception for The Lost Generation, an exhibition of ceramics by Cuban avant-garde artists
WHAT:
Opening reception for La Generación Perdida: Mujeres Ceramistas y la Vanguardia Cubana, an exhibition at the The Patricia & Phillip Frost Art Museum-FIU focusing on pioneering women ceramists and their contributions to the Cuban avant-garde movement.
The exhibition is in collaboration with FIU Casa Cuba and Cernuda Arte and will be run through Sept. 29, 2024. It includes pieces by Cuban artists such as Amelia Peláez, Wifredo Lam and René Portocarrero and highlights the innovative work of Cuban women artists of the Taller de Santiago de las Vegas between 1949 and 1959.

The Patricia & Phillip Frost Art Museum at Florida International University was founded in 1977 and is the Smithsonian Affiliate in Miami.
