Join us for an intentional evening of tea, art, and dialogue set against the lush backdrop of Vizcaya Village. This event blends mindful tea tasting with expressive zine-making to help you find your place—and your voice.
You’ll start the evening with a guided “Tea 101” session—a casual but eye-opening deep dive into the world of tea—by JoJo Tea, one of Miami’s most beloved tea experts. As you sip on freshly brewed green tea, we’ll explore what tea is: its major categories, processing methods, flavor profiles, and how caffeine interacts differently depending on the leaf. You’ll also learn how tea’s evolution was shaped by climate, geography, and labor.
Then, let your thoughts spill onto paper in a hands-on zine workshop led by Teachings by Tatiana. Designed to help you explore your creative side, this reflective session invites you to collage, sketch, or write your response to the themes of nature, climate, and community. No prior art experience necessary—just come curious.

About the Facilitator, Jojo Tea: JoJo Tea was founded in 2011 by Michael Ortiz, who discovered tea through meditation and quickly realized its power as a tool for mindfulness. What began as tea bags shared with friends soon evolved into one of Miami’s most respected tea companies. JoJo Tea now serves over 300 accounts—from restaurants and cafés to cruise lines—and operates a private tasting room in Miami.
With a deep respect for the traditional gongfu tea practice and a love for playful innovation, JoJo Tea represents a New American Tea Culture: rooted in intention, but open to evolution.
