About the Show
“Tango and Beyond” by Alexandra Marie, lyric soprano, bring a classical touch to the seductive Tango world of songs and dances, celebrat with a post concert Argentine Party! Among the repertoire, the concert will feature legendary Carlos Gardel and Le Pera favorites such as “El Dia que me Quieras”, “Mi Buenos Aires Querido”, to Piazzolla’s Nuevo Tango with works like “Maria de Buenos Aires”. The influence of Habanera in the tango style extended to classical composers such as Bizet “Carmen’s Habanera”, Kurt Weill “Youvali”, and the romantic bolero tango by Maria Grever “Jurame”. The concert will also feature contemporary American Composer Paul Schoenfield, who included a tango movement in his work “Four Souvenirs”, for violin and piano. Together with Alexandra Marie, pianist Paul Schawrzt, from Florida Grand Opera, Argentine bandoneonist Laura Cadabon and International Tango Dancers German and Rocio Felipeli.
