The Art of Dance: The Expression of Inspiration at the Crossroads of Kinship brings together the choreographic work of emerging student choreographers, faculty, and Leaps and Bounds Artist Hattie Mae Williams. Student choreographers Gabriella Castro, Fernanda Moreno, Priscilla Gonzalez, Lisbeth Moquete, and Eric Brazzel open the evening with evolving and conceptual
movement affirmations that explore identity, courage, spirituality, and migration. The evening will be illuminated by the work of Olujimi Dance Collective’s Secret Sauce Ensemble. The Secret Sauce includes contemporary artworks by Dr. Keshia Abraham, Hattie Mae Williams, Shanna Woods and A’Keitha Carey. These women will bring the house down with their ferocious
energy and sublime artistry exploring concepts of addiction, reparations, liberation, and play.
