The spirit of Sankofa speaks to taking from the past what is good and bringing it into the present to make progress in the future.
Join us on Oct 9, 2023, at 7:30PM as we explore the histories and untold stories of the colonial trauma inflicted on indigenous peoples and cultures globally by Christopher Columbus and his descendants thereafter. Conversations from various voices from different cultures and upbringings, that share a harmonious thought in raising knowledge, wisdom and awareness for the pinnacle of our existence, creating new models of co-existence.
Special Invited Guest Speaker Donisha Prendergast will present a screening of the documentary “50 DAYS IN AFRIKA” Created and Produced by Donisha Prendergast, Mykal Cushnie, and Kelissa McDonald.
LIVE MUSIC, Vinyl DJ, SOUL Food, Art Displays, presenters and performers will be in alignment to share and serve.
