Join Us for the Treemendous Miami Annual Meeting and Volunteer Appreciation Picnic!
Arrival and sign-in for our optional work day will take place from 2:00–2:30 PM.
What to Wear / Bring (for the optional volunteer session):
Closed-toe shoes
Long pants
Bug spray (some will be provided if you don’t have any)
Reusable water bottle recommended
The event will continue with an optional volunteer work session from 2:30–4:30 PM for those who want to help care for planted areas in the park and remove invasive plants that harm native trees and wildlife. No experience is needed, and participation is completely optional.
For those not attending the volunteer session, or for volunteers wrapping up, free time from 4:30–5:00 PM allows everyone to arrive, clean up, relax, and connect before the main gathering begins.
The picnic dinner and Annual Meeting will take place from 5:00–6:00 PM. TREEmendous Miami will provide the main food and refreshments, and guests are welcome (but not required) to bring a side dish or dessert to share. During the meeting, we’ll review highlights from the past year, share updates on our work, and hold the election of the upcoming Board of Directors.
After the meeting, we’ll close out the evening with a bonfire on the beach, along with time to connect, talk, and enjoy the park together. It’s a relaxed way to celebrate our volunteers, strengthen relationships, and appreciate the community that makes this work possible.
