Deering Estate, in collaboration with the Antique Automotive Club of America – South Florida Region, will host the 11th annual Vintage Auto Show on Sunday, Nov. 5, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Car enthusiasts of all ages can experience a variety of vintage cars, from 1965 and older, displayed on the historic grounds of the Deering Estate.
Early Bird Tickets are $13 for adults (ages 15 and older) and $6 for children (ages 4-14) now through 11:59 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 3. Note that beginning Saturday, Nov. 4, tickets will cost $15 for adults (ages 15-plus) and $7 for children (ages 4-14). Children under 4 years old do not require a ticket, and tickets are free with RSVP for Deering Estate Foundation members.
Limited tickets are available and required for all guests. All members and non-members must purchase or reserve tickets online in advance at https://miamidadeparks.com.
Additional activities include:
• Vintage automobile scavenger hunt: Use photo clues to identify a selection of cars on display.
• Vintage Auto Show Craft: Crafts available for children that can be done at one of the picnic tables or taken home. Limited supply.
• Lawn Games: Enjoy a variety of outdoor lawn games.
• Nature Preserve Tours: Offered at 11 a.m., 12:30 and 2 p.m. Space is limited and will be filled first come, first served. All guests, including Deering Estate Foundation members, must sign up at the event.
• Self-guided nature trails: Explore some of the nature trails on-site and use the free iNaturalist mobile app at https://www.inaturalist.org/projects/deering-estate to identify flora and fauna.
• Kayak rentals (for an additional fee): Enjoy kayaking on Biscayne Bay, paddle over sea-grass beds and explore the mangroves. Rental fee includes the use of the kayak, life vest, paddles and a small dry bag for personal belongings. Weather permitting. Limited availability.
• Award winning film On This Land: The Charles Deering Estate: Funded by the 100 Ladies of Deering, written by author and preservationist Becky Roper Matkov, and produced by Emmy-Award-winning director Carl Kesser. Also available online in English and Spanish.
• Available for purchase: food and beverages, Deering Estate merchandise and the Legacy Deering Estate Coffee Table Book.
Guests are also welcome to bring blankets, lawn chairs, and small picnic baskets. Please note that the historic house museums will be closed and not accessible during this event.
