The family-friendly 1st Annual SOMI Music Festival is coming to South Miami in May.
The one-day inaugural music festival from 12:30 p.m. – 9 p.m. on Sunday, May 1 at Palmer Park, 6100 SW 67 Ave., will feature diverse performances from multiple genres of music including rock, salsa, R&B and smooth jazz. The event is presented by Reginald M. Miller, Veteran United States Navy veteran and CEO of powerhouse MKT GRP.
“We live in a very diverse community and music, as we know, has the power to unify people of all walks of life,” Miller said.
Come enjoy a fun filled day of entertainment at the 1st Annual SOMI Music Festival in the “City of Pleasant Living,” featuring renowned Saxophonist Fernando Diez, Grammy Nominated Jody Hill and the Deep Fried Funk Band. Other live performances by Rock Band Ovrhol – Latin American dance music provided by the Salsa group – Zarabanda Band.
The venue will have some of the best local food trucks and multiple local arts and crafts vendors. This is a non- alcohol venue. Service pets will be allowed to attend and blankets and lawn chairs are welcome.
Tickets are $35 each, with kids under 10 years of age admitted for free. This child-friendly event will feature face painting, bounce houses and other interactive games.
The 1st Annual SOMI Music Festival will open its doors at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 1, with performances starting at 3:00 p.m. and concluding at 9:00 p.m.
