The University’s wired and wireless networks—CaneNet Wireless (for students), UMiamiWireless (for Coral Gables and Marine Campuses’ faculty and staff members), and SecureCanes (for UHealth and Miller School of Medicine faculty and staff members)—have updated their connection certificates on all campuses. All network connected devices will be prompted to connect or trust the new certificate when connecting to the University networks. Hosted by Claire Oueslati-Porter, director of the gender and sexuality studies program and senior lecturer, this interactive online session will explore gender and the evolution of pronouns. Hall of Fame athletes share their stories.
Friday, Sept. 8, at 6 p.m.
Hosted by Women of the U, this event offers ’Canes a unique look into the lives of hall of fame athletes. The evening will celebrate University Sports Hall of Fame athletes Tamara James, Octavia Blue, Jenny Krawec, and Kym Hope as they share their narratives of challenges and triumphs. The event is free and open to the community. Register to attend.
