The Village of Palmetto Bay and ArtSouth are teaming up again, this time not for an artist’s exhibition but for an instructive and timely class, because Mother’s Day is on Sunday, May 12. The event is called the Art South Mother’s Day Wine Glass Painting Party and takes place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 9, at Thalatta Estate Park.
Participants will be guided by ArtSouth teachers in the art of creating a hand-painted gift for Mom, something personal and unique that will be appreciated because you made it just for her. The wine glass, decorations, paint and brushes will be provided, and the cost is quite low — one glass is $10, two glasses are $15.
Refreshments will be served.
Reservations are necessary for the event, so RSVP by email to info@artsouthmiami.org or by calling 305-964-5662.
Thalatta Estate Park is located at 17301 Old Cutler Rd. in Palmetto Bay.
The most recent Art South and Village event was an art exhibit featuring local artist Ralph Hogges at Perrine Community House on Saturday, Apr. 13. Those events usually take place every month.
