Art South and the Village of Palmetto Bay have joined again, this time to present the works of Rochelle Berman on Saturday, Mar. 9, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at Perrine Community House.

“Join me for a magical evening brimming with art, culture, and creativity, where we will indulge in a silent auction and raffle,” Berman said. “Wine and appetizers will be served as we come together to celebrate the enchanting world of visual storytelling and the profound impact of artistic expression.”

Berman is an award-winning fine art photographer who is based in Miami. She has gained international recognition for her experimental portraits, nature studies and travel related images. She has a background in visual arts and a passion for drawing, painting and poetry. Her work is characterized by vibrant colors and emotionally resonant compositions.

Her art has been showcased in exhibitions in London and Berlin. Her artistic journey continues to evolve as she explores new boundaries in photography and mixed media, and shares her magic through photography workshops, empowering the next generation of image makers.

“I am truly delighted to extend a heartfelt invitation to my upcoming solo art reception, where I will unveil a collection that reflects my artistic journey,” Berman said. “With deep appreciation for the Village of Palmetto Bay and ArtSouth for their unwavering support, I am eager to share my love for fine art photography with you.”

The Perrine Community House is located on the center “island” between the northbound and southbound lanes of S. Dixie Highway. The building was constructed in 1935, built by the Works Progress Administration (WPA), which was part of Franklin Roosevelt’s New Deal program.

The Perrine Women’s Club took up a collection to get it started and held meetings there for many years. Miami-Dade County currently owns the building and leases it to Palmetto Bay, which used it as the original village headquarters office. The village has renovated the facility for the community to use for many different activities, including art exhibits, community meetings and public events.

“Prepare to be enchanted by the ethereal beauty of my ‘Journey of the Goddess’ in the Dreamscape Portrait Series, as well as the vibrant imagery captured during my adventures across Europe and Asia,” Berman said. “I am excited to showcase my latest creations, including the unique ‘Layered Landscapes and Waterscapes’ series, alongside other mixed media artworks.”

Perrine Community House is located at 900 E. Perrine Ave., Palmetto Bay, FL 33157.
