ArtSouth and the Village of Palmetto Bay are hosting a second exhibition of the works of Susan K. Feldman on Saturday, Oct. 19, as part of their ongoing display of local artists to support the arts in the community.

As before, the event will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Perrine Community House, located at 900 E. Perrine Ave. in Palmetto Bay. Light refreshments will be served.

Born in Columbus OH, artist Susan Feldman has lived in Miami for 55 years. Working in a variety of media — including pencil, conte sticks, pen and ink, watercolor and oil paint — her inspiration comes from many sources.

“I paint many different subjects — portraits of people and animals, landscapes, still life, abstracts and more,” Feldman said. “It’s all fun and a challenge.”
She creates her art for the pleasure of creating, but also for seeing people view it with enjoyment.

“My ultimate joy comes from responding to other people’s reactions to my art with a smile on their faces,” Feldman said. “There’s just nothing like it.”

In addition to ArtSouth and the Village of Palmetto Bay, this event is sponsored by Florida Humanities, Miami-Dade County Cultural Affairs, Schnebly Winery and Florida Arts & Culture.
