Brightline, seamlessly connecting travelers to top destinations and major events between Central and South Florida, today welcomed Mr. Monopoly in celebration of the new MONOPOLY: Fort Lauderdale Edition. Fort Lauderdale’s version of the world’s most popular family game features Brightline, Florida’s intercity train and is available for purchase at the Brightline Fort Lauderdale Station throughout the holiday season.

Upon arrival at Brightline Fort Lauderdale Station, Mr. Monopoly toured the station, met with guest services, safety and security teammates and even worked the register to sell a couple MONOPOLY: Fort Lauderdale Edition games to riders. Before boarding Brightline for a meeting with Brightline President Patrick Goddard in Miami, Mr. Monopoly also took photos throughout the station, including the downtown Fort Lauderdale mural and a photo of Henry Flagler, the original developer of Florida East Coast Railway, the railroad that made way for modern-day South Florida. Before his departure, he visited with engineers and chatted with train attendants and guests along the way.

“Brightline is proud to connect the Fort Lauderdale community with Central and South Florida and our inclusion in MONOPOLY: Fort Lauderdale Edition is a fun way to commemorate those connections,” said Patrick Goddard, president of Brightline. “Thank you to Mr. Monopoly for visiting Brightline today and wishing everyone a wonderful holiday season.”

The MONOPOLY: Fort Lauderdale Edition game is one of the only licensed in the state, introduced by Top Trumps USA, the American division of Winning Moves International, creators of classic games and puzzles, and under license by Hasbro, a leading toy and game company.
