Broward County Chapter of the American Red Cross to Celebrate Local Humanitarians at Annual Fundraising Event

On Wednesday, October 9, 2024, the Broward County Chapter of the American Red Cross will host its annual Dine & Dock Celebrity/CEO & Experience Auction presented by Amtrak at the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina Hotel. This year, the chapter is thrilled to honor Margaux Fiori, CEO of Fiori Financial Group, Rebecca Geimer, Assistant Fire Marshal for Tamarac Fire Rescue, Paul Kastner and One Beat Medical & Training with the prestigious 2024 Humanitarian Award. These recipients exemplify the core values of the Red Cross through their unwavering commitment to civic engagement and community support.

“We are honored to recognize these outstanding community leaders for their humanitarian contributions,” said Paula Prendergast, executive director of the Broward Chapter. “We are also grateful to the local CEOs and VIPs who have generously offered their time to help us raise funds to support our mission here in Broward County.”

The evening will begin with an exclusive dockside VIP reception at 5:00 p.m. by the intracoastal, courtesy of JM Family Enterprises, Inc. and Ryder System, Inc., where guests will have a chance to connect. The Welcome Reception, hosted by Keiser University, begins at 6:00 p.m.

As the Broward Chapter’s largest annual fundraiser, the event will be held in the Intracoastal Ballroom, offering stunning waterfront views, beverages provided by Republic National Distributing Company, and a variety of food stations. The program, led by event co-chairs Cindy Imperato and Liz Caldwell, will begin at 7:30 p.m., highlighting the 2024 honorees as they receive their well-deserved Humanitarian Awards.

All proceeds from the event will directly benefit the American Red Cross, aiding their vital work in responding to disasters ranging from individual home fires to hurricanes, wildfires and floods. After these disasters, the Red Cross provides essential services such as shelter, food, and emotional support to families and communities in need.
