City Of North Miami Celebrates NoMi Tech Month With Focus On Multi-Generational Innovation & Technology

The City of North Miami has announced the official launch of April as NoMi Tech Month, a multi-generational initiative intended to build a future where innovation, education and economic opportunity can thrive. As technology reshapes industries and communities, NoMi Tech is leading the way by creating an environment where residents, entrepreneurs and businesses can succeed in the digital age. North Miami is uniquely positioned to drive tech sector growth, leveraging its dynamic business ecosystem, skilled workforce and access to a robust technology hub.

Through strategic partnerships, workforce training and forward thinking polices, the City is investing in the tools and resources that empower individuals and businesses to pursue tech cares and support local businesses by adapting to an ever-changing economic environment.

An empowering after-school program designed to help students uncover, explore and nuture their musical talents.

Drone Piloting Program by Drone Training School (2 session adult program)

  • Saturday April 19 & Saturday April 26, 2025
  • 9:30am-5:00pm

Instructional program to prepare individuals for the FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification exam and equipping them with the skills and knowledge to fly drones safely and effectively. Students will receive personal drones.

Features a special tech savvy panel including Teri Williams, President & Owner of OneUnited Bank, Bert McCulloch, Retired Associate Executive Director, Kings County Hospital, Claude Charles, Director of Information Technology, City of North Miami. Full senior tech session facilitated by LaShevia Burns, President, Bringing Tech!
