Get ready to treat your tastebuds and explore everything local this summer! The City of South Miami is thrilled to announce the launch of “Taste of SoMi” — a new, month-long celebration of South Miami’s dynamic dining and shopping scene, running from July 1 through July 31, 2025, featuring over 30 of South Miami’s best restaurants and retailers!
A Culinary Journey Through SoMi (Taste of SoMi – Culinary Experience) Throughout the month of July, South Miami’s top restaurants will offer specially crafted pre fixed menus at accessible price points, inviting residents and visitors to explore the city’s diverse and vibrant culinary landscape. From breakfast and brunch to lunch and dinner, each participating restaurant will showcase its most delicious offerings at four price tiers:
- Breakfast: $15–$20
- Brunch: $20–$40
- Lunch: $25–$35
- Dinner: $45–$65
- Quick Service Restaurants: 10% – 15% off
Menus will include multiple choices for appetizers and entrees, with optional dessert or beverage inclusions, giving diners the chance to enjoy their favorites or try something completely new.
A Flavorful Retail Experience (Taste of SoMi – Retail Experience)
But it’s not just about food. Taste of SoMi – Retail Edition invites South Miami’s local shops and boutiques to join the fun with a four-week themed promotional series. From fashion and home goods to gifts and wellness, local retailers will offer exclusive in-store experiences and specials that reflect the unique flavor of their businesses:
- Week 1 (July 1–6): “A Taste of Savings” – Kicking off the month with tiered Bogos, Discounts, and bundle deals.
- Week 2 (July 7–13): “A Taste of Style” – Showcasing summer essentials, staff picks, curated collections, or bestsellers.
- Week 3 (July 14–20): “A Taste of Summer” – Focused on end-of-summer steals and themed displays.
- Week 4 (July 21–31): “A Taste of VIP” – Customer appreciation week, plus a city curated raffle prize giveaway for shoppers.
