Today Juan Fernandez-Barquin, Miami-Dade County Clerk of the Court and Comptroller, announces a pilot program extending hours of operation at two county court locations to allow working residents extra time to pay their court costs without having to take time off from work. South Dade Justice Center (10710 SW 211 St, Cutler Bay, FL 33189) and Joseph Caleb Center (5400 NW 22nd Ave, Miami, FL 33142) will extend their hours of operation on Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday’s from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
“I have worked with my staff to implement extended hours to help our working residents who need to take care of court matters without having to take time off of work,” said Fernandez-Barquin. “Our working community should have the same ability to take care of personal matters in their personal time without having to miss any time from work. In these unstable economic times, it’s imperative that the government adapt to the needs of our community and that is exactly what my office is doing.”
All court-related financial obligations can be addressed during these extended hours. For more information, please log onto: www.miamidadeclerk.gov
