Miami-Dade County Commissioner Natalie Milian Orbis is proud to announce the launch of the District 6 Hialeah Swimming Lesson Voucher Program, a new summer safety initiative aimed at helping children in Hialeah learn life-saving swimming skills.
Starting today, families who reside within District 6 and live in Hialeah can apply for free swimming lesson vouchers, redeemable at Babcock Park Pool (651 E 4th Ave, Hialeah, FL 33010). Vouchers will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
“As a mother of two young children, I understand firsthand how critical it is for kids to learn how to swim—especially here in South Florida, where pools, canals, and coastlines are part of our everyday environment,” said Commissioner Milian Orbis. “This program is about more than just swimming—it’s about protecting our children and giving parents peace of mind.”
The program provides lessons in a safe, supportive, and professional setting, giving children the opportunity to build confidence in the water while learning essential safety skills.
How to Apply:
- Eligibility: Must be a District 6 resident living in Hialeah
- Registration opens: Monday, July 14, 2025
- Apply here: Registration form link
- Contact: For more information, call (305) 267-6377
Commissioner Milain Orbis encourages all eligible families to apply and take advantage of this opportunity:
“Let’s give our children the confidence and skills they need to stay safe and make this summer unforgettable.”
