Community Newspapers Recommends Jason Bloch for Miami-Dade Circuit Court, Group 52

Jason Bloch began his legal career as an Assistant County Attorney with the Miami-Dade County Attorney’s Office. Jason Bloch has worked in a wide array of practice areas, including torts, civil rights defense, public housing, eminent domain, construction disputes, and commercial litigation. Jason was lead counsel in numerous trials and appeals in both state and federal court, including the Florida Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit.

Jason has contributed more than one thousand hours of free legal services to individuals in need and non-profit organizations, including the Dade County Bar Association’s Put Something Back Program and Legal Services of Greater Miami. Such cases have included homeowners and tenants in foreclosure and eviction suits, and against insurance companies, a Haitian American journalist sued for defamation, victims of domestic violence, and children in dependency proceedings, among many others. Jason has received several awards for his pro bono work.

Jason has been a member of the Florida Bar Criminal Procedure Rules Committee. Between 2018-2022, Jason was appointed to serve on Miami Civilian Investigative Panel, which investigates allegations of police misconduct. Jason is a member of several non-profit boards, including Legal Services of Greater Miami; the SEED School of Miami, a residential school that serves at-risk youth; and the American Jewish Committee of Miami.
