The second annual “Dogs of Summer” Adoption and Training Expo will take place on Saturday, June 23, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Coral Reef Park in Palmetto Bay. Miami-Dade County, Village of Palmetto Bay, Town of Cutler Bay and Village of Pinecrest all are participating as they did in 2017.

Scheduled so far are a Miami-Dade Police Depatment K-9 Unit demonstration, HOPE Express with on-site adoptions from Miami-Dade Animal Services, a Canine Contest, important information on spaying and neutering pets, training workshops by local experts, a dog wash and a farmers market. More features may be added.

Miami-Dade Commissioner Daniella Levine Cava and the mayors of Palmetto Bay, Cutler Bay and Pinecrest are likely to participate.

The special event allows interested families to adopt pets in need of a loving home and to receive helpful information. Coral Reef Park is located at 7895 SW 152 St. in Palmetto Bay.
