Families across South Miami-Dade are invited to celebrate Easter and the arrival of spring at the Easter Egg Trail, a free community event taking place during the Sunday, Apr. 5, Farmers Market at Cauley Square, 22400 Old Dixie Hwy. Hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Set within one of Miami’s most charming historic villages, the event will transform the square into a festive destination filled with local vendors, family friendly activities, and opportunities for children to explore the property in a fun and interactive way. Admission and parking are free, making the celebration accessible to families throughout the community.
At the center of the event is the Cauley Square Easter Egg Trail, a scavenger style experience that invites children to visit participating shops and farmers market vendors throughout the property. Children will collect eggs as they move through the historic shops of the square, encouraging families to discover the many small businesses and vendors that make the market unique.
A limited number of eggs will contain a “Golden Prize,” adding an exciting surprise for two lucky participants who complete the trail.
The Easter celebration will take place during the Sunday Farmers Market at Cauley Square, where visitors can shop from a curated selection of local artisans, bakers, and food vendors. Guests can browse fresh produce, handmade goods, specialty foods, and locally crafted products while enjoying the vibrant atmosphere of the outdoor market.
In addition to the Easter Egg Trail, families can look forward to a variety of child friendly activities throughout the property, festive photo opportunities, and a relaxed environment where children can explore while parents shop and enjoy the historic surroundings.
“Our goal is to create a community-first enviornment where the community can come together,” said Frances Varela of Cauley Square. “The Easter Egg Trail is a fun way to bring families out to explore the square and its tenants while also supporting the local small businesses that are part of the market each week.”
Families are encouraged to arrive early, as participation in some activities will be available while supplies last. This includes free goodie bags for the first 30 kids, two grand prizes, face painting, free photo ops with the Easter Bunny, bunny petting zoo (TBD) and other kid activities throughout the property.
The Cauley Square Farmers Market takes place every Sunday and features a curated mix of local farmers, artisans, and food vendors in a historic outdoor village setting.
