Educational Federal Credit Union (EdFed) has announced the launch of on-campus ATM services at the eight campuses of Miami Dade College (MDC). This initiative provides surcharge-free ATM access to both EdFed members and students who receive financial aid via BankMobile.
“As the credit union for Miami Dade College, it is extremely important to provide resources to empower the financial success of students,” said Mike DiBenedetto, EdFed’s President and CEO. “The deployment of EdFed ATMs is the first of several major investments that the credit union has planned to expand our support for MDC in the coming
months.”
In addition to eight cash-dispensing ATMs, EdFed has installed two deposit-taking ATMs at MDC’s Kendall and North campuses. The machines will enable EdFed members to deposit cash or checks without visiting a physical branch.
“We recognize that the students, faculty, and staff at MDC have busy lives,” commented Christa Dotson Dean, EdFed’s Director of Member Outreach. “Our credit union is dedicated to serving the educational community, and we are so proud to partner with MDC to offer convenient, surcharge-free access that saves the campus community both time and money.”
EdFed has provided credit union benefits to MDC since the college was founded in 1959. In recent years, EdFed has launched new programs to increase support for the College, including a new College Dreams Scholarship for MDC students.
