Eight exceptional graduates of Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) will be inducted into the M-DCPS Alumni Hall of Fame in recognition of their outstanding achievements in higher education and their respective professional fields.

With this year’s inductees, the Alumni Hall of Fame expands to 68 esteemed members, each representing the remarkable talent fostered within Miami-Dade’s public schools and achieving success on a national scale.

The Class of 2025 joins a distinguished group of alumni who exemplify the legacy of excellence within the district, reflecting the rich history and diverse accomplishments of Miami-Dade’s schools. The following individuals will be inducted into the Alumni Hall of Fame:

Kris Anderson

Miami Central Senior High – Class of 1994

Weekday Morning Newscast Anchor for NBC6 South Florida

Former Anchor for ABC and CBS Television 

Six-time Emmy Award-Winning Journalist

Graduate of Florida International University

 

Adrianne Calvo

Holmes Braddock Senior High – Class of 2002

Celebrity Chef and Restauranteur

Author of Maximum Flavor Cookbook

Recipient of Floridian Culinary Best Chef Award 

Graduate of Johnson & Wales University

 

Marshall Davis, Sr. 

Miami Northwestern Senior High – Class of 1968

Managing Director of the Marshall L. Davis Sr. African Heritage Cultural Arts Center

Former Miami-Dade County Public Schools Teacher

Multi-Award Winner for Leadership in the Field of Arts and Culture

Michelle Delancy

Graduate of Florida International University and the universities of Florida and Virginia

 

The Alumni Hall of Fame Reception provided an exclusive opportunity for attendees to meet the inductees and celebrate their extraordinary careers. The reception took place last night at the home of Heide and Jose Dans, philanthropists and community leaders who are passionate about education and giving back to the Miami-Dade community. Their home provided a beautiful setting for an evening of recognition, networking, and inspiration.

The event also marked the official start of the For the Love of Learning Gala, a key fundraiser for Miami-Dade County Public Schools, supporting future generations of students as they pursue their own academic dreams.
