Enjoy a delightful ‘Evening by the Bay’ at Deering Estate, Jan. 27

Enjoy an “Evening by the Bay,” an outdoor, after-hours experience at Deering Estate on Wednesday, Jan. 27, 5 to 8 p.m., surrounded by culture and history, with views of Biscayne Bay. This month, guests can enjoy a relaxing evening under the moonlit sky around a campfire.

Guests also can stroll the grounds and view the following outdoor art installations: Sinisa Kukec’s FACING GAIA, a 10-foot interactive sculptural intervention that invites the community to participate in the creation of an artwork, located in the Mango Grove and Rosemarie Chiarlone’s UNIFORM and SIGNAL banners, located in the Palm Grove. Please note that the historic house museum will not be accessible at this event.

Bring your own food and refreshments for a picnic under the stars. Drinks will be available for purchase. Guests are welcome to bring blankets, lawn chairs, and small picnic baskets. Please note that the following items are not permitted: large coolers, open flames/candles, balloons and pop-up tents/umbrellas.

Cost is $10 per person (ages 4 and older; members and non-members). Tickets can be purchased online. For more information, and additional dates, visit the Deering Estate website at deeringestate.org.

Guests must practice social distancing, wear face coverings (ages 2 and up), and are not allowed to gather in groups larger than 10 people. Sanitation stations are available throughout the event.
