Today is Doctors’ Day, a day designated to show appreciation for the contributions of physicians who help save lives every day. Our gratitude this year though, in the shadows of 2020, feels very different.
Never before have we asked so much of doctors. To say thank you to our doctors this year doesn’t seem like enough. We thank them for being so much more – a link between loved ones, a reliable source, sympathetic voice, true mentor and hospital champion. More than ever, we depend on their courage and unyielding commitment to humanity.
We are so proud of our doctors at Florida Medical Center, who never waver in their work. They strive to maintain normalcy for our patients, implement our safety protocols and never skip a beat to provide quality and compassionate care. Not only do they save lives, but they put their own lives at risk. They are true heroes in our community.
Today we will do our best to honor doctors for their extraordinary efforts in keeping us well and guiding us through sickness. Words cannot express the gratitude we have for doctors and for the sacrifices they make. Their outpouring of energy and compassion is one of the reasons we can say our Community is Built on Care.
