In 2003, Dr. Armando Bardisa, Pharm. D. founded South Miami Pharmacy with a goal to improve the quality of life for patients and customers through personalized service. In 2010, a handsome new building rose on US 1 in the heart of South Miami and became home of the re-named SMP Pharmacy Solutions, an independent pharmacy beloved for its superb customer service, fertility and compounding excellence.
Dr. Bardisa recently announced that he has stepped down from his role as CEO of SMP Pharmacy Solutions to lead his family office, Bardisa Family Holdings, which specializes in real-estate investments in South Florida.
“Although I will miss connecting with patients, I cherish the memories of running the pharmacy and am thankful for the opportunity to have served the Miami community for so many years,” said Dr. Bardisa. “It’s been a wonderful run and I’m looking forward to life’s next chapter. I’ll stay involved with SMP Pharmacy Solutions as a member of the Board of Directors and help guide the company’s growth.”
Last year, Dr. Bardisa announced that SMP Pharmacy Solutions would relocate to 7500 NW 26th Street in Miami, having outgrown its South Miami location. At the new location, the company will continue its tradition of providing stellar service and delivery to existing and new customers. The company’s fertility and compounding branch operation located near Bird Road and the Palmetto Expressway will also relocate to the new location.
“We are so excited about the move because it will not only allow SMP Pharmacy Solutions to continue to provide our superior brand of service in a new, state-of-the-art facility, but will enhance our ability to go the extra mile to ensure healthier patient experiences long into the future,” said Dr. Bardisa.
In his new venture with Bardisa Family Holdings, Dr. Bardisa will expand the company’s investment portfolio in the growing South Florida real estate market. They have multiple development deals in the works and will create an investment fund projected to generate double-digit revenue growth later this year.
